I am very happy to be in my second year at ASFM! I began my career in education 13 years ago in California public schools. Then I caught the "travel bug" and journeyed overseas to work at the American School of Brasilia in Brazil. After, I moved to China and taught at the Shanghai American School. I am happy to be living closer to my family in California and am enjoying the travel and culture of Mexico.

In education, I have experienced the powerful impact of holistic and inquiry instruction, based on Cognitive and Experientialist theories of education. I aspire to ensure that my students are active learners, who are empowered to make decisions about their learning. I always strive to create a relationship that fosters dignity and respect amongst my students along with a strong potential of academic, social, and emotional growth.

As a resource teacher, I will be following an inclusive model of instruction where I will support all students and teachers within the walls of the classroom. It is essential that I work side-by-side with teachers to ensure the best support for all of our students.

I am thrilled to be a part of this warm community of families and teachers.

"Do not train children to learning by force and harshness, but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each. " Plato
