PULL-THE-PLUG WEEK
JANUARY 27-FEBRUARY 2, 2007
Mirroring our American neighbors' popular TV-Turnoff week, our program is intended to bring families together, away from the screen, and create an awareness toward healthier screen habits. The focus of the program is to emphasize the idea of time management, media literacy, and making good, conscious choices about T.V. watching, video game playing, etc.
On Thursday, January 25, students will be asked to take a symbolic pledge. During the week, they will earn points for the time THEY DON'T SPEND in front of the screen, and work toward their classroom goal.
To help stay away from "screen", we will be hosting various activities throughout the week. Check the link.
