Hello to all!  My name is Joseph Stanzione.  I am a grade 5 teacher and team leader here at ASFM.  It is my thrid year and my first job teaching internationally.  My home is in Robbinsville, New Jersey but slowly Monterrey is now becoming my new home.  This is a wonderful place to live and work.

I am a graduate of Elizabethtown College of Pennsylvania where I majored in elementary education.  I recently finished a master’s degree from the College of New Jersey in Educational Leadership through an international program in Mallorca, Spain.  I have been teaching for 15 years mostly at the 4th and 5th grade levels.  My most recent job previous to ASFM was in Allentown, NJ where I specialized in 5th grade curriculum.  I was also the head boy’s varsity soccer coach at Allentown High School for 6 years.  In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, jogging, playing soccer, photography and listening to music.

I am looking forward to the challenges of working in a new environment and new culture.  The people here at ASFM are so welcoming and have really helped me ease into my new home.   Administration, faculty, the PTA and the surrounding community have gone out of their way to make everybody feel so welcome.

Please feel free to stop by sometime and chat or contact me via email.

"When I look back, I am so impressed again
with the life-giving power of literature.
If I were a young person today, trying to gain a sense of
myself in the world, I would do that again by reading,
just as I did when I was young."
